Pastor Tom Reappointed to Dutilh Church

We are grateful to share that at the 2025 gathering of the Western PA United Methodist Church, Bishop Sandra Steiner Ball officially appointed Rev. Tom Parkinson to his 10th year as Senior Pastor of Dutilh Church.

Originally from Indiana, PA, Pastor Tom first felt called to ministry as a teenager at Grace UMC. He went on to earn degrees in Political Philosophy and Theology at Geneva College, where he met his wife Amy. After completing his Master of Divinity at Duke University in 2010, he began his ministry at Faith United Methodist Church in Fox Chapel, PA.

In 2016, Pastor Tom was appointed to Dutilh Church, where he has faithfully led for nearly a decade. Under his leadership, the church has embraced a bold vision for growth and mission. Upon hearing news of his reappointment to Dutilh, Pastor Tom said, “Dutilh Church did not choose me, nor did I choose Dutilh Church. We were chosen for each other, and I could not be more thankful for the opportunity to continue to serve alongside my wonderful Dutilh family. While the last decade has been a rich and life changing experience for me and my family, I cannot help but feel that we have only just begun. By the grace of God, I believe our best days together are ahead of us.”

We give thanks to God for Pastor Tom’s continued presence, leadership, and love.
